A FIVE GENERATIONS LEGACY
Château d’Épiré has been passed down through the generations : Théophile, René, Armand, Chantal, and Luc Bizard. Each has contributed to preserve the estate’s identity and expertise. Since 2019, Paul Bizard carries on this family tradition with the same high standards and the same dedication to the terroir of Épiré.

THE CELLAR IN THE OLD CHURCH
UNDER THE ARCHES
Located in the 12th-century church, the Château cellar preserves the soul of the place. The natural humidity and constant temperature allow aging in respect of the wine and its balance. Combining heritage and expertise, this setting offers ideal conditions for producing fine wines. The cellar is an integral part of the estate’s identity. A timeless place that you can visit.
A TIME FOR WINE
Each parcel is vinificated by using different containers (stainless steel tanks, oak, acacia, and chestnut barrels, and amphorae). Silence and twilight bring the wines to evolve slowly. Time and patience allow the Chenin to develop its full subtlety. Then the cellar becomes an extension of the terroir.

Since 2022 the estate is an organic farm. Hedges, fruit trees, “wild” areas, and beehives have helped boost biodiversity in our plantations.
